Kathmandu, March 1 — The Socialist Communist Party Nepal has strongly condemned the alleged attack by the United States on Iran, expressing serious concern over what it described as a terrorist assault on a sovereign nation in the Middle East.
In a press statement issued by the party’s General Secretary Samarjang, the party expressed deep sorrow over reports that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with dozens of others, lost their lives due to U.S. intervention. The statement paid tribute to all those who sacrificed their lives in defense of Iran’s independence and sovereignty.
The party accused the United States of attempting to establish control over the Middle East’s oil resources through the attack. It further claimed that the U.S. has long been engaged in conspiracies,
pressure, and military actions against Iran. According to the statement, such actions constitute a violation of international law and established global norms.
The Socialist Communist Party Nepal also called upon all anti-imperialist forces around the world to stand against unjust war and in favor of world peace. The statement expressed the view that lasting global peace would not be possible without ending imperialism and capitalism.
Furthermore, the party urged Nepali citizens residing in the Middle East to remain highly alert and called on the Government of Nepal to take necessary measures to ensure their safety and security.
